PlateReveal ("we", "us", "the app") is a calorie and nutrition tracker for iOS. This policy explains what data the app handles and what it does — and does not — do with it.
Your data stays on your phone. We don't run a server. We don't have analytics. We don't sell anything to anyone. The only network calls the app makes are to OpenFoodFacts (a public food database) and to recipe URLs you paste in yourself. Photos you take for calorie analysis are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded.
If you delete the app, your data is gone — there is no cloud copy.
Everything below is saved only in your iPhone's local storage. We do not have a copy.
You can erase all of this at any time from Profile → Reset & start over, or by uninstalling the app.
The app asks the iOS permission system before accessing any of the following. You can deny or revoke any of them in Settings → Privacy & Security at any time:
